My first interview with an International fashion blogger.

Let me introduce to you Marion Antoine (owner of Marion Rocks). A French fashion blogger from Paris who happens to be in India for a while. Traveling and exploring the country of rich heritage.  I was lucky enough to get my hands on her before anyone else could (sounds dirty?? ...oopppss.... I'm sorry... I meant all in a very clean way).

Anyway..... I am glad that we met and shared an afternoon together sharing a pizza and talking about our lives.  I did not want to miss a chance like this so I asked if I could interview her and kind Marion said  SURE!!  (Stroke of luck for me ha!)

Find Marion on Twitter and Instagram.

INTERVIEW:

(Hi Marion! How are you doing? Could you please tell our readers how did we find each other?)

Hi Prash! I am very well thank you. We found each other on twitter. A friend of a friend told me about you and your blog and then we connected on twitter.

(How long have you been blogging?)

5 years.

(Did you ever imagine that one day your blog will be so famous and will be sponsored and that thousands of people will be reading it?)

Oh gosh... never! I started blogging just as a time pass. I used to blog about music and movies initially but then at a point of time I got bored and wanted some change so I thought of posting my pictures with different outfits and see how people react to it and I was blown away by the response. Within a week I had more than 5000 views. I was still a teenager then and it was a great deal for me.
IN 2009, the Editor in Chief of Vogue online found me on Facebook and asked me to work for him. I was 18 then, I really thought that someone is trying to joke around with me but he actually called me for a meeting and from July that year I started working for him in Paris. I also worked for Glamour and GQ magazine Paris. It was a crazy year for me.

(How did it feel to be in Vogue Paris?)

Phewwww... waaooo.... you know when I was young I used to read all the fashion magazines and read about all the famous bloggers and suddenly I saw myself in the same world as they were. I did not know what to think. I was blown away and wanted to enjoy every moment of it. After that I moved to Sweden for a while, I was missing Paris and I desperately wanted to go back so I found a communication School for public relations and communication in which I enrolled and joined immediately. I graduated in 3 years and after that my life was crazy.
Blogging was just getting famous then which was a good thing because there were not too many fashion bloggers in France, so every body wanted to meet me and I was invited to most of the high end fashion events. I had a chance to meet Jean- Charles de Castelbajac , (website). He invited me to his office for a meeting.

(What brings you to India?)

I wanted something completely different. I wanted adventure. New music, new people, food, fashion etc. I happened to get a job offer in India so I thought WHY NOT! lol.

(What do you have to say about Indian Fashion).

Hmmm... well... Bangalore is very modern. I have not traveled everywhere yet but my reaction when I first arrived here was- waaooo.... Indian girls are beautiful with the long hair, accessories, bangles, saari, the fabrics etc. It is so fascinating for me.

(Best city in India?)

So far I have only been to Chennai, Pondicherry and Bangalore. I loved all the three.... so I will have to say that I am yet to explore.

(Do you like Indian food?)

Yes but when it is not too spicy. Lol

(I am guessing that you would want to build your full time career in fashion of course?)

Yes! I would love to be a professional full time fashion blogger one day. I would love to write about fashion and discover the world or just be a fashion reporter.

(Your favorite fashion designer?)

Isabel Marant and Balenciaga.

(Favorite fashion Magazine?)

I like Glamour but only the French version and I love Vogue USA.

(Favorite fashion blogger?)

Blond Salad. I love her. She is one amazing blogger.

(Met any other Indian Fashion blogger yet?)

Nope! You are the first one I am meeting.

(I am sorry but I have to ask you thins- Do you like my blog and my clothes for real because I think it's full of crap? lol)

Yes I do. You see fashion blogs are not only about clothes. Its more than that and I love the way you write. One of your posts called "The Walk of Shame" made me laugh sooo much and the pictures are amazing.

(Define Fashion?)

"Any article of clothing you feel confident in". It's all about how you wear the trend. Wear what you want, be creative and do not give a shit! lol

(Thank you very much Marion for your time. It was wonderful talking to you. I am looking forward to see you again someday).

My pleasure! Yes we have to meet again. I am going to tweet about this rendezvous right away and I will interview you too to feature in my blog.

  4. The round high neck greatly matches with the empire waist pattern on the interior wedding gown. Once again, understated beauty is well expressed. But I do perceive something classy from such an unadorned style. It' s natural yet overwhelmed appealing for me. If you are fashion conscious enough, you will also know most of modern designers and trend followers hold strong appetite for this kind of beauty appreciation.
