So last week I was invited to the 10th edition of Seagram's Blenders Pride Fashion Week 2014, an event by Dream Merchants which was held in the city of Bangalore. The names included-
  1. Disha & Menka "Soiree"
  2. Vidya Vivek
  3. Gunkiran
  4. Jattin Kochhar

This was my first time at the fashion week and I really wanted to stand out so I decided to look not so usual. That's the perk of being a blogger. You can wear what you want. You can experiment, try out stuff that no one else has and make it your own. So I decided to go a little GAGA. It was an fun event. I got an entry to the back stage, the media lounge and I also got to personally interact with the designers. I was there with my fellow blogger friends and we were on a hunt for the best dressed of the evening but turns out people dint really care all that much but we did. The fun filled evening started with ramp walk, drinks, dinner and then more drinks at the after party.

Oh and if you missed out on the video I made before posting this blog then here it is once again-

Now coming to my ensemble-

Shoes- Custom Made
Pants- Kenneth Cole
Shirt- Bespoke
Blazer-Louis Philippe

Neck Piece- I made it myself. Those are just a bunch of safety pins hanging off a chain.

The show as mentioned before showcased 16 designers. I decided I would select only the ones I liked the most and out them in my blog. Well I'm not that big of a fashion blogger but I'd still like to think and say that- Let's see who made it to Adam's apple LIST-

So here they are-

The first one that I chose were by two very young designers called Disha and Menka who named their collection "The Gilded Lily". The ensemble were a spread of hand embellished gowns, embroidered palazzos, catsuit inspired outfits and dresses. Please note that this was their first showcase ever so they definitely need some appreciation for putting up a good show. I personally spoke to the two ladies and must say that they are very inspiring. Said that "our collection is for all kind of women. All shapes and sizes".

10 Grooming Commandments for Men!

Let me just cut right to the chase instead of starting up with my yaps. Here is the list of 10 most essential grooming tips for men which I made last night. These small things make a lot of difference.

  1. Stay hygenic. Keep your body, your hair and face always clean. Personal hygiene is very important.
  2. Use cologne or deodorant to smell good and fresh. It's important to stay aware of your skin smell.
  3. Always keep a mint spray or tic tac pack with you for you never know when you might need it, specially if you are eating something which has garlic and onion in it. Nothing is more turning off than bad breath no matter how good you look.
  4. Shave regularly or if you have beard then trim it and shape it regularly to look sharp. Untrimmed beard gives a very sloppy appearance.
  5. Avoid chewing gum in public. It's considered impolite. That's why keeping a mint spray or tic tacs are advisable.
  6. Go for face massage every once in a while to keep your skin toned and use cold tea bags or cucumber slices to reduce the puffiness under the eyes.
  7. Please go for a manicure occasionally because un-managed hands are disgusting and women wont like it when you try to touch them at their precious places (wink).
  8. Guys! Your testicles wont fall off if you go for a pedicure. Clean feet is not for anyone else but for your own sake. You will feel good about yourself and in the moment when you are taking a roll in the hay with your partner, she will love that about you too. Clean kept feet alright.. FETISH!
  9. You prefer your partner to be clean shaved down there? then how about you doing the same too ha? Why should you make your partner floss her teeth with black curly threads of yours while charming your manhood? So get a little sensitive towards your partner too.
  10. Last but not the least- always keep a clean handkerchief or just keep tissue papers so that you can use them and throw them away. Blowing nose in your handkerchief and keeping it back in your pocket is GROSS!

Forgive me for this is the best I could find to put in this post. Have not done a photo shoot in a while. My photographer thinks I am too fat to fit in his camera so unless I shed like 20 pounds, I can kiss his ass!

Jovan Stevanovic launched a new collection- " King of Hearts".

Remember Jovan? The Serbian designer who adamsapplelist featured in the blog last year? The same guy we labelled " Guilty for being Charming"? If you missed reading that post then click here.

So last month or rather last year in December 2013, Jovan launched a new collection called " King of Hearts" and boy oh boy...... it sure took me for a spin.

If I could sum it up in one word then it would be "Rebellious". Oh yes... this collection is for fearless people. They say that your clothes speak for you, they tell a story and this collection sure says " do what you want  and be who you are". Hey don't get me because the collection does have the cut of maturity in it.

This collection is soooo a hybrid of Twilight vampires and Harry Potter'c characters. Every piece has a hidden story which needs to be unraveled. The collection brings together highly creative mixes of gender.

Take a look-

All the runway pictures have been taken by Dejan Radic

Well I can totally see myself wearing one of these outfits and rockin it. It's a different case that it's gonna be one hell of a sight on the "not so fashionable streets" of India but hey everything that is created today was once only imagined so never mind.. I'll take that.

I was talking with the designer himself who is as sweet as a candy. He said-

"The collection has elements of underground style. I have mixed and matched materials that have never been tried before. If you'd notice then you will see that it's a 4 season collection because there are winter coats, top coats, spring jackets and t-shirts as well.
It's a mix of sporty look  but still is dark and elegant. It's made for people with strong mind and strong personality".

Oh shucks..... so I am guessing it's not for me (puppy face). Our conversation proceeded and Jovan further told me little more details-

"The runway show took place in "Mixer" and the concept store is in Belgrade. It took me two months to finish it which is quite fast. I had to do it because I needed to move to Florence".

Well Jovan, that was a job well done. It's new, creative, in sync with what you call "Underground" and what I call "Rebellious" very NOW and very OUT THERE.

Beyonce recruited Super Models for her new video.

Siren...........Siren...... Queen Beyonce recruited three fire bombs for her new music video "Yonce".

Yes Beyonce decided to feature 3 super models in her video and they are not just any supermodels, they are the runway models for the world's biggest fashion houses like Chanel,Gucci,Balenciaga, YSL,LV etc. Quite expected from Beyonce as she never settles down for less.
Watch the video.

The teamed up models are- Chanel Iman, Joan Smalls and Jourdan Dunn and boy o boy did you notice Joan giving a small lick to Beyonce's boobies or what I like to call them "Jay Z's fun bags".

The video shows all the girls seducing the camera and if you'd notice then you will see that Beyonce did not move her lips even a little to the lyrics of the song but the models did.

According to "The Cut" Ricky Saiz directed this video in Brooklyn and the video was inspired by George Michael's "Freedom" video of the 90's that featured Cindy Crawford, Christy Turilington, Naomi Campbell and few other super models of those days.

He said- "It was amazing. We wanted to do something contemporary and a bit more street and of course, use iconic black women".

I think I have watched this video more than 50 time already before I started writing this blog post.

Well Ricky, mission accomplished well and good!

Looking back at 2013.

So finally one more year passed. One more year of experience that will make me stronger. Looking back at 2013, I realized how many mistakes I made but hey I'm only human and no one learns unless they get a kick in the butt. At some point of time everyone needs it I guess.

I did not make any resolutions this year because it has never worked out for me. I will just stay positive and be optimistic.

Since it's the first week of 2014, I did not want to keep this fresh page blank. Din't have much in mind so decided to look back-
